I’m Bianca, an award-winning, NZIPP accredited photographer with over 20 years of international experience, capturing everything from weddings and newborns to families, portraits and personal branding across Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa. But what truly sets me apart isn’t the camera — it’s the connection.
I don’t rush. I don’t force moments. I don’t treat your story like a template.
I take the time to understand you — your people, your season, your why — and I guide you through an experience that feels calm, effortless and genuinely enjoyable.

Hi, I am Bianca-Rae
I am a qualified and internationally experienced Portrait, Wedding and Event Photographer with a Portrait Accreditation through the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography.
And what does that mean? That means my work and my business practices have been assessed by a panel of judges (some of the best in the NZ industry) and I have been found to be providing my clients with professional imagery and high standards of practice - so good news for you and me!
You may have only just stumbled across my name and wondered why you are only just hearing about me, especially seeing as I have been photographing professionally for over 20 years. I am not Wellington's best kept secret (shame), but in fact after graduating art school with a major in Photography, I worked for another portrait company for a number of years. I then went into marketing for a while, and then when my son was 3 months old, my hubby and I moved to China where I started my own photography business! After 5 years photographing beautiful families and awesome events on the international stage we moved to Dubai for 2 years, where I started my business all over again capturing more awesome families and events. For the last 4 years we have been back in Wellington and are now living on an idyllic lifestyle block in Kapiti where I get to continue my photography business dream.
I can't really call Photography a job as it is my passion and my life, something I can't live without. I love the creativity, the planning, meeting new people, creating magic, the editing and all the big and unseen small moments of a photoshoot.
I also love that Photography has the ability to capture and preserve a moment in time, that we can tell stories with images, that we can express how we feel and capture that feeling to share with others.
